I now have a couple of these, and even though I like the standard version (minus external antenna), the version with the external antenna is a real pocket rocket.
I managed a direct connection with a node circa 18Km away, and although I my location is about 210M ASL, this is a phenomenal result.
I highly recommend this tiny unit.

With the Whisper OS available via the Mtools BLE OTA app', or the dedicated ssaprus URL , the UI is amazing with excellent cell (battery) life to boot.
The requirement for a phone with the Whisper OS is also mitigated significantly, as the Tracker L1 Pro can be used as a standalone device.
Service & aftersales from Mtools reps via WhatsApp is also unbeatable, so buy with confidence. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Small and exquisite, I thought it was a big one when I looked at the picture, but I didn’t expect it to be so small. The material looks like plastic, but the texture is very good and it doesn’t look cheap.
Compared with the old version, the OLED screen has been greatly improved, and it looks much more comfortable than the previous screen.

Out of about 25 companion nodes, this is my current EDC. With 2 x 18650 flat top cells, charging often is a thing of the past, the UI is great, & then there’s +28dBm (1W) for that extra punch into the 1/4 wave vertical Antenna.
On a different note – aftersales service from Mtools via WhatsApp is absolutely fantastic & cannot be beaten.

This is a very nice board, I ordered 4 of them, I run whisperOS for meshcore companions.
Range is great even with the included stubby antenna, and battery life is incredible, lasting over a week. The on off switch is a nice addition.
