GAT562 30S T9 · OFF-GRID HANDHELD
A mesh radio you can use without a phone.
Take messaging, GNSS positioning, and physical T9 controls into the field. The orange-and-black handheld combines a 30 dBm+ mesh module, OLED display, rechargeable battery, and direct MTools BLE firmware updates.
EU868 or US915 · 1.3-inch OLED · 2,500 mAh
BUILT FOR THE FIELD
Physical control, location awareness, and mesh reach
When a touchscreen is inconvenient or mobile coverage disappears, the T9 keeps essential interaction on the device itself.
01 · INPUT
Type directly on the handheld
Use the T9 keypad, directional pad, function keys, and 128 × 64 OLED for basic on-device navigation and messages.
02 · POSITIONING
GNSS built in
The L76K GNSS module and internal GNSS antenna support location-aware operation when satellite reception is available.
03 · RADIO
Designed for mesh networks
GAT562 30S radio hardware offers up to 30 dBm+ transmit power and -136 dBm receiver sensitivity, with a replaceable external whip antenna.
APPLICATIONS
Useful beyond cellular coverage
Bring the T9 hiking, camping, overlanding, or to a temporary field site. A compatible mesh can relay traffic through other nodes; actual reach depends on terrain, placement, antenna, settings, interference, and local radio rules.
ON THE TRAIL
Keep a hiking party in touch
Enter short messages directly on the T9 while your phone stays packed away. GNSS can add location context, and nearby compatible nodes can extend a local mesh.
Illustrative outdoor scene. Communication requires reachable compatible nodes.
AT CAMP
A dedicated tool beside the map
Coordinate a campsite, outdoor team, or community mesh with a display and keypad ready for quick use. Choose the EU868 or US915 variant to match your region and neighboring nodes.
Illustrative outdoor scene. Always follow local frequency regulations.
DEDICATED RED LASER CONTROL
A visible point for signaling after dark
The independently controlled red laser emitter sits at the top-left corner of the device. Aim that corner toward the target to place a red point where you intend. The image is an illustrative outdoor scene; visibility depends on distance, surface, lighting, and conditions.
Use the laser as one part of a wider emergency plan. It does not replace a certified emergency beacon or guarantee rescue. Never aim a laser toward people, vehicles, or aircraft.
FIRMWARE & OTA
Update directly with MTools BLE
The T9 supports Bluetooth Low Energy over-the-air firmware updates. In MTools BLE, choose the GAT562 T9, select the matching firmware, and complete DFU without a USB cable. Keep the battery charged throughout the update.
The MTools Meshtastic firmware source and releases are public. The hardware specification also lists Meshtastic, MeshCore, and APRS support; available features depend on the installed build, and only one firmware runs at a time.

Yes. The OLED and T9 keypad support basic interaction on the handheld. A compatible app can still make setup and firmware updates easier.
Choose EU868 or US915 to match local radio rules and the compatible network you plan to join.
Mesh communication does not require a cellular network, but sending and receiving messages requires compatible nodes within usable radio reach.
